Judith Henderson’s Wine & Country Living

My seasonal Web cast for the Chefjudithhenderson.com Web page is recorded at radio KUJ 1420 Walla Walla.

Always "The Voice of Reason," radio personality, Jim Bock, who has been instrumental in the early shaping of the Chef Judith Henderson brand in Washington wine country, was on hand making sure the finished Web cast was perfect.

The process doesn't end here. Next, I take the CD to Larry Pitcher, of Catapult Solutions, who places the recorded CD on my Website and inserts the seasonal recipe and photo of the dish for interested readers around the world. But there's still more.

Next, the CD is sent to Livermore, Calif., where it is inserted on the Around Dublin Wine Country, an informational page for Northern California food wine lovers. The best part about the Dublin blog is that it is carried by the SF Blog Roll, a group of hand-picked blogs posted in the New York Times and Chicago Tribune.

Skylite Cellars is on the same property as the KUJ Station. I walked over to the Skylite tasting room and nuzzled my nose deep into a glass of their award winning, '08 Rose. The rose nuance tickled my nose, wafting in forest strawberries. A rich, tangy rhubarb swooshed my cheeks, wrapping an exotic cayenne twist around a long and winding tongue. This clean crisp wine goes beautifully with bleu cheese, fresh fruits and fowl and at just $18 a bottle; everyone should try this regional wine.

Skylite winemaker, Greg Matiko, understands his 100 percent Sangiovese rose, adding just a pinch of sugar to each vat. Because of this, yours truly, Judith Henderson of Wine and Country Living, gives you, 98 points for the Skylite Cellars '08 Rose. Congratulations Greg and staff! 509-529-8000.

Readers, until next week, "Eat Art Drink Imagination!"
