Bluewood Hosts Competition

DAYTON -- The USASA Inland NW Series is coming to Ski Bluewood for the first time on Feb. 11. The event is open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages but competitors must be a member of the United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA).

On Saturday, Feb. 11, snowboard and ski slopestyle registration will open at7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria at Ski Bluewood and will be followed by a practice session. Competition will begin at 11:30 a.m. after a mandatory rider meeting. The competition is open to both skiers and snowboarders of all ages, men and women, provided they are a member of the USASA. Competitors will be divided into age and sex categories.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Border X and Skier X competition will take place with registration beginning at 7:45 a.m. in the Ski Bluewood cafeteria. Competition will begin at 11:30 a.m. following practice sessions and a mandatory rider meeting.

Skier X and Border X is a race to the finish. Cost Per Day: $25 Event Registration,

$85 Annual USASA membership (if not a current member), $25 USASA 1-day membership, free one-time membership if you've never tried USASA before.

USASA rules apply. Visit www.usasa.org for complete rulebook. Helmets are MANDATORY for all competitors. Spectators must have a valid lift ticket and ski or snowboard equipment to access the venue.
