Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
On Feb 7, 2012 our dog was hit and killed by the garbage truck. We do not blame BDI at all as the dog has chased the truck in the past and we had just installed a system around our fence for him, however that day the collar was not working. BDI called Kelly at city hall and she immediately called my cell phone.
After arriving home within 15 minutes of the call, not only did the sheriff come, but Travis Newman, a city employee was there within minutes of my arrival. I had expected to have to take care of the entire situation on my own as my husband was at work and couldn't get away, but Mr. Newman, without hesitation scooped our dog up with his bare hands and took him away while my neighbor Dawn Robert, Sheriff Frizwold, and my brother helped me clean the entire road before my children came home from school. As the site was very traumatic for me, I couldn't imagine my children having to come home to see that.
A great big thank you to Travis Newman, Sherriff Frizwold, Dawn Robert, and my brother Lance Weaver for stepping up and going above and beyond for the sake of my kids.
GOD BLESS,
