Port of Walla Walla money starts the Downtown Revitalization ball rolling. The Waitsburg City Council has received a $7,500 contribution from the Port of Walla Walla to develop a Downtown Development Mater Plan.

No bids received on Ritter Building demolition. Waitsburg City Council decided to offer the Ritter Building for sale after no bids were received for demolition at the April 1 council meeting.

Jr. Cummins of Wallula and formerly the deputy sheriff at that place, who recently announced through these columns his candidacy for the office of sheriff of this county, was in this city for a few hours Tuesday. Mr. Cummins, who has made an enviable record as deputy, is gaining much strength in his candidacy.
One Hundred Twenty-Five Years Ago April 1, 1887
Frank Parton this morning, in response to a telegram, shipped his two Bellofnuder colts, one three and the other four years old, to Geo. K. Reed, Spokane Falls. He receives for the two colts $500.
At the Academy meeting last Monday evening the following committee to select site and procure estimates for building was appointed: Frank Parton, W.G. M. Hays, E. L. Powell, A. A. Dickinson and D. Roberts.
Last Sunday at the Ranch of Lewis Cox on Union Flat, Ed Ingalls of this city while in a corral working with a horse, had the misfortune of getting his right leg broken between the knee and ankle joint. As we understand it, the leg was broken by a rebounding pole ran against by a horse.
The Union says immigrants are arriving at Walla Walla at the rate of from 30 to 50 a day and the most of them are possessed of some means. Good enough.
