Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Wireless Company Moves To Dayton

DAYTON - Regional wireless phone service provider Inland Cellular opened a new office at 151 E. Main St. in Dayton last Monday.

A grand opening for the office will be planned sometime next month.

Gina Wilson, a regional sales supervisor, will be working out of the office. She had been working in the College Place location.

Wilson is a Waitsburg resident who has been with the company for more than 7 years, according to a release from Inland Cellular. She is a graduate of Walla Walla High School and Walla Walla Community College, has two children and is an active supporter of WP athletics.

The reason for the Dayton office opening is simple, Wilson said.

"Our customer base is growing out there," she said.

Having a Dayton location will make it easy for customers to stop in with questions or to sign up for the service. Also, the company wants to grow and Dayton seemed like a logical next step, she added.

Michael Mettler, a consultant for the company, said Inland Cellular is the region's only locally owned and operated wireless communications company. Its headquarters are in Lewiston, Idaho, and it provides nationwide phone service.

There are seven Inland Cellular offices total and the company provides home phone service, wireless phone service and mobile marketing communication tools.

In addition to opening up the shop, the company has also installed a new tower that has improved the wireless phone coverage in Dayton as well as increased the speed of data access and provided more security for customers .

The company is offering sign-on deals and discounts along with the opening of the new Dayton store.

The new location will be stocked with the newest smart phones, basic phones, tablets and phone accessories.

The store will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but not on major holidays. For more information, call 509-629- 0789.
