On May 1, there will be a lunch fundraiser at the Seneca Activities Center for Relay

For Life. The fundraiser starts at noon and

costs $20. Pick up your tickets at Country

Cupboard.

Spring Release Weekend

May 4-6

Local Wineries

weekend. The Valley's winemakers are

on hand to introduce their new wines and

share the creative winemaking process. Visitors can be the first to enjoy the new vintage

and take home a selection of wines, many

of which can be found only by visiting the

wineries and tasting rooms themselves.

musicians who bring their songs and finger

picking to our lounge stage for a great evening of entertainment.

Dayton's Church Yard Sale

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Yard sales will line Third Street near the

churches in Dayton for the annual event.

Karaoke

Coppei Cafeacute;

7 p.m.

Deb Tiedemann and Amy Spears are

back to host an evening of Karaoke. Their

library includes 6,000 hits and songs. The

cafe supplies the beer, wine and food.

Waitsburg Spring Cleanup

May 5, May 12, May 16

8 a.m. to noon

Spring Cleanup will be held Saturday,

May 5, and Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m.

to noon.

Volunteers from the Commercial Club

will be out at the wastewater treatment

plant to assist citizens in unloading yard

debris. On Wednesday, May 16, the city

crew and club volunteers will go around to

individual residences and pick up any piles

that are left. Cleanup is open to the public

and residents are strongly encouraged to

participate.

This is a free service available to all

Waitsburg residents. The services include

the disposal of large yard debris, such as

brush and limbs, and it is not for items like

grass clippings, building materials, etc.

All-You-Can-Eat Rib Feed

6 p.m.

Come and fill your plate with ribs and all the fixings at the second annual Lion's Club rib feed. Tickets

cost $25 each. This event is only for those aged 21

and older.

Waitsburg's Annual Parade & Classic

Car Show

Downtown Waitsburg

10 a.m.

Waitsburg's annual parade will kick off at

10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. Plenty of candy

will be handed out for little ones. After the parade, food and entertainment will be provided

in Preston Park. The Classic Car Show runs

both Friday and Saturday and many of the

vehicles featured will be in the parade.

Instead of horse racing, the Dayton Chamber of Commerce is putting on a parade for the

whole town. Grab your spot on Main Street
