Don Wills named 2002 DRS Parade Marshal. Mr. Wills, 77, has been known to say he wanted two things before he died: to be honored with the Commercial Club Community Service Award (1991), and to be parade marshal of the Days of Real Sport.

Two Walla Walla men injured in Tuesday morning mishap. A Tuesday morning two-car accident resulted in injuries to two Walla Walla men, who were listed in serious condition at a Walla Walla Hospital. David Sheneman and Charles Hermanns were listed in serious condition.

Rainbow for Girls meeting was held Thursday evening, April 22 with more than 100 attending. The grand officers presented the order with their charter in a beautiful and impressive ceremony.
Mayor Call has adopted the policy of swearing in all the full time city employees as peace officers. Besides Night watch Dickeson, Water Supt. R.R. Rinehart, Street Com. Harry Gruver and Park Supt. John Davis are qualified to make arrests within the city limits.

Mr. E.J. Culp, who for several years past, has been employed as a bookkeeper at the Preston-Shaffer Milling Co. has purchased of J.W. Bruner, the General store at Huntsville, 2 ½ miles east of this city.
To Mrs. Henry Conover of this city has been awarded the prize for the suggestion adopted as a name for the Waitsburg amateur baseball team. "The Camels" was chosen as the most appropriate coming from a "dry" town.

Elder Faro, the Adventist, discourses on "Future Punishment, Hell, what and where is it" The Devil- his origin and destiny." The elder would not be asking conundrums about "hell" if he were in the newspaper business.
J.W. Cole says if the individual who stole his brace and bit last Monday will return the same, and hereafter attend Sunday school, it will be all right.
