The Waitsburg Lion's Club cooked up 400 racks of baby back ribs for 650 guests at last Saturday's annual Rib Feed at the community building at the fairgrounds. The Lion's Rib Committee set up for the event Friday at noon and started the 60 feet of barbecues at 1 p.m. Saturday. The rib feed is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the club. The money raised will help build the new press box at Waitsburg High School and fund other community projects. (Top Left) Larry Olson and Jerry Baker put the cooked ribs in a cooler to keep them warm for rib eaters. (Right) Scott Huwe dispensed barbecue sauce onto the ribs from a shiny fire extinguisher. (Bottom Left) Bret Moser and Howard Smith, Sr. dish up ribs to hungry community members.
