Students Of The Month

Katarina Edie and McKenzie Dobbs are Starbuck Students of the Month for May.

McKenzie Dobbs has been at the school for four years now. She started in first grade, and is now finishing her fourth grade year. McKenzie is a great student and citizen of our community.

McKenzie is an excellent mathematician. She has worked hard this year to master her multiplication facts, and is now conquering long division and fractions. She writes in cursive, and can write a story with multiple paragraphs very well. She is a great academic.

Katarina Edie has gone to Starbuck school since preschool. She started six years ago, and is now also in fourth grade. Kitty is an excellent reader, and has always been in the top of the Accelerated Reader boards. AR is a program where students read and take tests on the books they read, gaining points for each book read. Currently Katarina has the most points in the school, and is excited to spend her AR points on prizes at the end of the year. Katarina is helpful at all times, and works well with all ages of kids. She tries to assist the preschool-aged kids when she can, and plays with them at recess. She helps in cooperative reading groups, working with first graders and reading to them, as well as following the rules of the school.
