Ralph Hamilton

Ralph was born in Seattle, WA on January 5, 1928. He died April 4, 2012 in Casa Grand, Arizona, where he and his wife, Muriel, retired in 1997.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps.

Ralph came to Waitsburg the summer of 1949 to work for Glen Howard's trucking company hauling peas for Green Giant.

During that summer he met Muriel Roberts, daughter of Harold and Lydia Roberts, starting a relationship that lasted nearly 60 years. They were married in the Waitsburg Methodist Church on September 28, 1952 and lived in Washington, Alaska and Oregon, working as Telephone Consultant for General Telephone Northwest.

The couple traveled extensively following retirement and finally settled in Arizona.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Holly West (Kerry) of Nashville, Tennessee, his son James R. (Sharon) of Federal Way, Washington, two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held in Waitsburg City Cemetary on Saturday, June 16 at 3 p.m.
