The completion of the track at Dayton High School was announced at the last school board meeting on July 11. Superintendent Doug Johnson said the project came in under budget and in time for the start of fall sports. The leftover budgeted money will be put toward pro- tecting the track to make it last longer. The resurfacing took about one week and cost about $43,000 The new surface was funded by a capitol project levy passed by the voters in 2010.
