Ways To Be Merry In The Touchet Valley This Month:
*Children are the stars in the Missoula Children's Theater production of Cin- derella. The week-long pro- gram will prepare a group of up to 55 students for two per- formances of the full-length musical performance at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug 17, and Saturday, Aug 18 at the Lib- erty Theater. The Missoula Children's Theater travelling troupe has been stopping in Dayton to help put on a show since 2001
*Mace Mead Works is celebrating its first anniversary with a party on Saturday, Aug 18, celebrated with a cocktail archive and a barrel of mead aged one year, "batch zero," for customers to taste. There will also be a refilling ceremony and the barrel will be saved for the next anniversary part. The event will also feature live music and a DJ later in the evening.
*There will be a Hosanna Lorang benefit concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 19, at the Liberty Theater, 344 E Main St, Dayton. The full-length concert will feature local musi- cians performing to benefit the Lorang family. All donations will go to the family to help cover emergency medical and funeral costs for their daughter. Performances will include the Lentil Brothers, Heather Stearns, The Barnstormers, Jake Lorang, Zech Bryan and Missy Davenport. The sug- gested seating donation is $10. *The Dayton Historic Depot will host a wine reception for the "Iron Horse" exhibit by artist Charlene Collins Free- man from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 25. The wine at the reception will be provided by Dumas Station Winery in Dayton.
