Maxine J. (Bennett) Buchite

Maxine J. Buchite, 87, died August 18, 2012, at Dayton General Hospital of natural causes.

Maxine was born De- cember 5, 1924, in Mc- Cracken, Kansas, to Mr. Fay McClellan and Emmaline Lourane (Perkins) Bennett. Her parents moved to Idaho when she was young, and later to Western Washington when she was in her teens. Next they lived in Grand- view, Washington where she met and married David R. Buchite. They moved to the Blue Mountains to a family homestead.

Maxine is survived by three children, Judith L. Wright of Waitsburg, Emma Grace Brixey and family of Dayton, David R. Buchite of Vancouver, Washington; two sisters, Lauren Douglas of Dayton, Lorral Heintz of Walla Walla; ten grand- children, Marian Wright and family of Everett, Washing- ton, Barbara Wright of Hope, Alaska, Tonya Wright and family of Redmond, Oregon, Lester Literal and family of Dayton, Lisa Morrow and family of Waitsburg, David Allan Buchite of Camas, Washington, Corrina King and family of Vancouver, Washington, Gracie Rob- erson of Vancouver, Wash- ington, Don R. Hopkins of Dayton, Christina Timmons and family of Colville, Wash- ington; twelve great-grand- children and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David, three brothers, one sister, one daughter Wen- dy Webster and one grandson Kennard A. Literal.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 24, at Dayton City Cemetery. Pastor Greg Brownell of United Brethren Church will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home, 111 S. 2nd street, Dayton, Washington.
