PALOUSE – Dayton’s Lady Bulldogs fought hard but were unable to win the four-game set against the Garfield-Palouse Vikings Tuesday night in Palouse. The Bulldogs kept the scores close, but ultimately couldn’t secure the win, walking away with only one win of the four games. The final scores for the games were, 25-23, Gar-Pal, 25-22, Gar-Pal, 23-22, Dayton and 19-23, Gar-Pal.
Head coach Shannon Turner said the match was close and the Bulldogs fought hard.
McKayla Bickelhaupt had 11 kills, two blocks and went 14 for 14 at the serve line. Jessica Tate had 10 digs. Courtney Mings had seven kills and went 13 for 13 at the serve line. Chelsea Wooldridge had 23 assists. Lexi Ramirez had six kills, two blocks and went 11 for 11 at the serve line. Sarah Phillips had 10 assists and four kills. Madison Mings had six kills and three blocks.
Turner said the match was fun and every game was competitive.
“I was pleased with the girls’ performance,” Turner said.
The Bulldogs’ next game will be Thursday against Pomeroy at 6 p.m. in Dayton.
