DAYTON - The annual Dayton on Tour events will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6, throughout Dayton starting with the Fall Festival at 10 a.m.
The Festival is a family- friendly, fall-themed festival with games activities and horse and carriage rides. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will take place on the corner of First and Main streets between State Farm and Dingles. A section of the street will be closed for the events.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a free art crawl. Nine different downtown venues will be displaying local art. Visit all of the loca- tions for an opportunity to win framed art. Art crawl maps are available at any of the participating venues: The Liberty Theater lobby (open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Dayton Depot, Wenaha Gal- lery, Gallery at the Weinhard Hotel, Weinhard Café, Mace Mead Works, Grain House Grill, Village Shoppes and Palus Museum. Stamps for the art crawl map will be given at every location and are required to be eligible for the drawing.
From 1 to 4 p.m., four historic homes including the Boldman House Museum and the historic Dayton Depot will be open for tours. The tours are $10 per person and tour maps are available at the Dayton Depot.
There will be art demonstrations from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Dayton Depot courtyard. Local artists and artisans will demonstrate their talents.
Upstairs at the Depot gal- lery, there will be an art and wine event from 4 to 5 p.m.
