System Board 10-25 meeting minutes *The meeting was called to order. *All were present except Lisa Naylor. *Minutes from Septem- ber were reviewed and ap- proved. *The board reviewed up- coming events. The hospital auxiliary luncheon was at 11 a.m. on Oct. 26. The hospital Halloween contests and public trick-or-treat is on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. The quality team will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 20. The finance commit- tee will meet at 12 p.m. on Nov. 22. *The next meeting, sched- uled for Thursday, Nov. 22, was rescheduled to Tuesday, Nov. 20 for the holiday. *Pharmacist Sean Thurston presented two new systems for medication to the board. The first was an IV hood purchase to replace the laminar flow hood and was approved by the board. The second was an automat- ed dispensing machine with a round-the-clock pharmacist on call to verify medica- tions and was also approved for purchase in the next six to eight months. *Chief Operations Officer John Hennessy gave the financial report for Sep- tember. *The board approved the warrants, write-offs and collections for the month of September. *Hennessy presented the 2013 budget for first read- ing. The still-tentative bud- get includes a 2.5 percent raise for all staff and a net income of $80,987. *Chief Executive Officer Dale Polla, attending his first meeting as an employee of the Columbia County Health System, gave a staff- ing update. *The board met in executive session.
