WP Tiger Freshman Tristan Newman pins Kirk Blackman of Walla Walla High School in a wrestling meet at Pomeroy Tuesday night. The Tigers' season is off to a good start. The team placed third in last week's wrestling jamboree in the Tri Cities, fielding eight wrestlers who clenched five medals and scored 11 pins. Seven teams participated in that meet. The Tigers host their first home meet in Prescott on Tuesday. In this shot, head coach Lanny Adams and assistant coach Jason Just encourage Newman mat side.
