Bill and Linda Stonecipher will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on January 6, 2013. William D. Stonecipher and Linda A. Harris were mar- ried on January 6th, 1963 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Portland, OR. Bill is the son of the late Chet & Loretta Stonecipher of Waitsburg/ Walla Walla and Linda is the daughter of the late Gus & Evelyn Harris of Waitsburg.
At the time of their wed- ding, Linda was employed by American Steel and Ware- house Company in Portland following her graduation from WSU. Bill had just graduated from Seattle University.
Miss Carole Harris, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Wayne Stonecipher was the best man. Tom Col- lins and Neil Beechinor acted as candle lighters/ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Portland. The couple honeymooned on the Oregon Coast before mov- ing to Glendale, AZ where Bill was preparing to begin graduate school at the Ameri- can Institute of Foreign Trade located in Phoenix.
Bill and Linda later moved to Moscow, ID before coming back to the Waitsburg area to farm with their families and raise their children. They have been involved in many local organizations over the years and continue to remain very active.
Bill & Linda have two daughters and sons-in-laws: Suzanne Stonecipher Sol- lars and her husband, Joe of Redmond, WA and Carrie Trimble and her husband Mark of Snohomish, WA. They also have 3 grandsons: Ryan and Alex Trimble and Sean Stonecipher Sollars.
