Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Visitor’s Guide Now Online

WAITSBURG - Touchet Valley Publishing, the holding company for The Times based in Waitsburg, has put its Touchet River Valley Visitors Guide on line. The guide offers travelers a comprehensive resource to plan their trips to Waitsburg, Dayton, Prescott, Walla Walla and their surroundings.

The URLs daytonvisitorsguide.com and waitsburgvisitorsguide.com both go to the site, which draws on the sectionalized tabloid- sized print guides that appear in spring and in fall. It provides details and updates on sightseeing, recreation, history, arts & culture, lodging and dining in the valley north of Walla Walla.

The twice-annual guide, co-founded by The Times and the former Blue Mountain News, has 24 to 32 pages and a press run of 10,000 copies distributed in the Waitsburg-Dayton area, Walla Walla, Tri Cities and Lewiston-Clarkston. It is also sent to the newspaper's subscribers.

"The website is the perfect complement to the hard copy guides because the first provides a planning resource for travelers when they prepare for their trip and the second while they're here or on their way," Times Publisher Imbert Matthee said. "It should give our advertisers additional exposure to prospective customers and help put our area on the map as a destination."

Ad sales and production of the 2013 Spring/Summer Touchet River Valley Visitors Guide will begin in February. For more information, please call Larry Davidson at 509-337-6631.
