Phinney Recognized as 2012 Dispatcher of the Year

DAYTON - Columbia County Public Safety Com­munications is recogniz­ing Barbara Phinney as the 2012 dispatcher of the year. Barbara has shown extraor­dinary devotion to the ideals and goals of public safety dispatching, a consistent spirit of teamwork and co­operation, being a model of personal integrity and honesty, and for serving as a role-model for others. Bar­bara was awarded this honor during the Columbia County Board of Commissioners meeting on April 3rd.

An open house will be held Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the dispatch center in the Columbia County Court­house.

The public is invited to stop by and see the changes we have made and say hello to the dispatchers.

Throughout the week small gifts of appreciation will be delivered to express appreciation for all dispatch­ers who work around the clock, all year long, to sup­port field personnel and help keep the public safe.
