Waitsburg High Reunion Draws a Crowd

WAITSBURG - The 110th Waitsburg High School Alumni Banquet and Reunion was held Saturday, May 25, with R. Wesley Leid, Class of 1963, presid- ing. Dr. Carol Clarke gave the welcome to the 160 alumni and guests present. Seniors of the 2013 graduating class attending were introduced and welcomed into the As- sociation.

The earliest class present was 1939, with Jim Hansen and Ivan Keve. Special re- unions were celebrated by the Classes of 1953, 1958, 1963, and 1968. Although not a milestone year, the Class of 1956 had 10 graduates at the banquet, surpassing any other class.

The Alumni Banquet and Annual Meeting next year will be Saturday, May 24, with Mary Liebermann Phillips as President; Darlene Smith Dozier, Vice President; Vicki Harshman Hamann, Recording Secretary; Patty Mantz, Correspondence Secretary and Katherine Leid, Treasurer.
