Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DAYTON - Approximately 390 cars registered this year for All Wheels Weekend in Downtown Dayton. Committee chair Bette Lou Crothers called the show a “blowout success.”
Perfect mid-80s weather greeted the thousands of visitors who watched cruising cars and the band LeadFoot that played on Second Street on Friday night and at the Show-‘n’-Shine on Saturday.
The only blemish on this year’s show, according to Crothers, was an abbreviated fireworks show on Friday night. She said the cost of the special fireworks needed for close proximity to buildings caused the show to be much shorter than organizers realized.
Crothers said a new location will be sought that will allow the old-fashioned type fireworks to be used in future shows.
