Relay For Life in September

Relay For Life of the Blue Mountains has announced that its annual relay event will be held September 21 and 22 in Dayton at the high school athletic complex on South Cot­tonwood St.

This year's theme is "Lights, Camera, A 'Cure'!" The overnight event will begin Saturday at 3 p.m. and conclude Sunday morning at 7.

The event will kick off with a special "Survivors' Lap," to celebrate the victories of local cancer survivors.

Those interested in taking part in the Survivors' Lap should call Survivorship Chair, Karen Huwe, at (509) 386- 6960 or email huweaka@gotvc.net. Besides acknowledge­ment in the Survivors' Lap, participants will receive a Survi­vor T-shirt, complimentary dinner and lots of fun with caring people. The strength and courage shown by cancer survivors helps the community see that survivorship is real and that progress is being made toward more birthdays and cures.
