DAYTON - At the District 9 League Meet in Dayton on September 25, the WP Men's team placed second, with 62 points, behind winner Tri Cities Prep, with 20 points. WP's E.J. Meserve finished first in the Men's Varsity 5,000 meter race, nearly 30 seconds ahead of the second place runner, with a time of 18:10, which was a personal record at the time.
Also making PRs at the Dayton Meet were: Skylar Wood 20:37.05, Jared Farley 20:38.68 and Tyler Shafer 21:02.33.
Emily Adams finished third among 33 runners, and had a PR in the Women's race, with a time of 20:41.74. Emily currently stands at fifth place in District 9 "bests" out of 47 District 9 runners.
Two Dayton runners made PRs at the Dayton Meet as well: Kiara Biggar with a time of 27:38.71 and Caitlyn Robins at 34:06.9
At Saturday's Inland Empire High Cross Country Challenge in Lewiston (also 5,000 meters), the WP Men's team placed 10th out of 11 teams. E.J. Meserve dropped 36 seconds off Tuesday's PR in Dayton, finishing in 17.34. He finished 23rd out of 84 runners. Meserve currently stands at sixth place in
District 9 Mens "bests", among 61 runners.
"It was a great meet with stiff competition," said WP Coach Lanning.

21:23.1. Alexis Walker made a PR in the Womens JV race with a time of 29:11.
