Sweet Surprise!

High School teachers Nancy Bickelhaupt (l) and Roseann Groom (r) smile as Bickel- haupt displays the surprise check she received at Tuesday morning's staff meeting. The $100 check was awarded by the Walla Walla-Columbia School Retirees Association. Every fall and spring the the group awards six $100 classroom grants to teachers who are members of the organization. The twelve recipients will be honored at an April lunch meeting where they will share how the money will be used.
