County to Hold Budget Hearings

DAYTON - The Colum- bia County Board of Commissioners has scheduled two budget hearings for No- vember 20.

At 11 a.m., the commissioners will hear public com- ments on the proposed 2014 current expense budget and to set the 2014 tax levy rate for the current expense fund and county road fund. Copies of the proposed budget are available at the Columbia County Auditor's office.

At 1:45 p.m., a second public hearing will be held to hear comments on changes to the 2013 county budgets. Due to unforeseen income and expenses, certain current expense and various 2013 county budgets are required to be amended.
