Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WAITSBURG - Waitsburg music students will be volunteering their talents solo and in small groups during Waitsburg's Hometown Christmas, Sunday, December 8 at Town Hall from 1 pm. To 3 p.m. Kate Hockersmith's bluegrass groups will also be providing entertainment that afternoon. Both the Preston Hall and Waitsburg High School bands will play their own version of Jingle Louie during the Hometown Christmas Parade at 5 p.m.
Waitsburg Schools' Christmas Concert, featuring all four school bands will take place Monday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Waitsburg High School auditorium. The 5th graders will perform their first concert ever with versions of Jingle Bells, Good King Wenceslas, and other favorites. The 6th grade band will present Jingle Jolly Christmas, Up On the Housetop, and a mysterious piece called Ancient Hunters.
Preston Hall's middle schoolers will perform New World Symphony, Wyndham Festival Overture, the beautiful African Drum Carol and Goo Time! By Carly Rae Jepsen. The high school band will wrap up the evening with Fanfare to the Unsung Hero, Kanye's All of the Lights, Leroy Anersons's Sleigh Ride, and a gorgeous holiday piece, And All the Bells Shall Ring.
