Team Baby Mateo Fundraiser

COLLEGE PLACE - Local communities are banding together in support of Waitsburg graduate Taryn (Thomas) Aguiar and her husband Jose as they fight for the life of their newborn child. In June of 2013 Taryn & Jose found out they were expecting their first chil- dren - twins. In October, they learned the babies were boys - Sebastion and Mateo.

On November 4, during a routine ultrasound, the couple learned that Sebastian was no longer alive, though Mateo was doing well. On November 11, Taryn went into active labor and was flown to Sacred Hearth Children's Hospital in Spo- kane where she underwent an emergency ceserean section.

Baby Mateo was born weighing 1lb. 3 oz. A heart ultrasound and brain scan performed on November 12 came back with positive results, but the family faces a long and tough road ahead.

A fund has been created to help Taryn and Jose with living and travel expenses, as well as time off work at www.gofundme.com/ TeamMateo. To donate and also show support for Team Mateo you can also email christaannburns@yahoo.com to order Team Mateo wrist bands for $5.00. All earnings will go to the fam- ily.
