LEO’s Penny Drive Will Help Local Charities

WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg LEO's club has been sponsoring a competitive penny drive between classes at the High School. The total collected was $210.44 with the freshmen winning by a good margin.

Freshman: $120.70 mi- nus $18 (paper money) = $102.70

Sophomores: $32.32 minus $1 (paper money) = $31.32

Juniors: $7.91 minus $7 (paper money) = $0.91

Seniors: $16.51 minus $9.51 (paper money) = $9.51

The LEO's Club will be deciding this week where the funds will be donated. Possibilities include supporting the hardware store in their work sheltering animals or donating to the Resource Center. They may decide to split the money equally be- tween the two.
