Board Members: Kevin House, Marty Dunn, Kevin House, K.C. Kuykendall, Karl Newell and Debra Callahan. Kuykendall was absent at the Jan. 15 meet­ing. Student Representative: Meara Baker. Mayor:Walt Gobel.

Mayor Walt Gobel re­turned early from his planned three-month absence.

UTILITIES: Approved Ordinance 2014-1019 which raises water and sewer rates by 3%, effective with the February bill, which covers the month of January.

SPENDING POLICY: Approved Ordinance 2013- 621; a financial policy up­date that creates purchas­ing guidelines in different categories for department heads, administration, the mayor and the council. The ordinance passed 3-1 with Dunn opposing in favor of lower limits.
