Waitsburg School Board Meeting Minutes

Preston Hall Board Room January 15, 2014 7 p.m.

Board members pres­ent: Ross Hamann Christy House, Marilyn Johnson, Randy Pearson, Greg Zuger.

RECOGNITION: Board members were recognized as part of School Board Recog­nition Month.

TRANSPORTATION: The new District school bus has arrived and had made two runs as of Jan. 15.

ATHLETIC DIREC­TOR: Dayton High School is moving to 8-man football for the upcoming school year and their head coach is retiring.

LEVY: Superintendent Clarke has presented infor­mation on the M & O levy to Commercial Club and PEO and is slated to present to the Lions Club.

CITY GRANT: A grant to the city to replace sidewalks on Main from 3rd through 8th Streets may allow for a driveway entrance from Main Street directly into the Academy parking lot.

USE OF FACILITIES: Approved request by Dr. Clarke granting the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office after- hours access to the facilities to practice with K-9 units.

STAFFING: Approved hire of Brett Mayberry as junior high baseball coach and Alan Wilson as assistant high school softball coach.
