ASOTIN - The Waitsburg Prescott boys struggled in the first quarter against a tough Asotin team, but came roaring in the second before finally falling 59-41.
After trailing 15-5 after a quarter, the Cardinals briefly regained the lead in the second, before finally trailing at the half 23-19. Asotin roughed up WP in the third quarter, outscoring the Cards 22-11, before coasting to the win.
Devin Acevedo led the Cardinals with 12 points, including six-for-six shooting from the free throw line. Corey Brownlee and Chance Leroue each knocked down seven points.
The game was marked by three technical fouls and three players, including WPs Owen Lanning, fouling out.
