WP Girls fall to Mac-Hi

MILTON-FREEWATER - The Waitsburg-Prescott girls traveled to Mac Hi's Gym January 14, but lost to the Pioneers 40-31. The Lady Cards kept the game close in the first half, trailing by three at intermission. But the Mac-Hi girls outscored them 13-7 in the third quarter before coasting to the win.

Heidi Miller led WP with nine points and also pulled down six rebounds. Kas­sidy Kuykendall and Hannah Grant each had seven points.

WP travels to Tri-Cities Prep on Friday and then hosts DeSales Saturday. They finish out the season January 31 against Dayton in Dayton.
