Cards Fall to Asotin 40-28

WAITSBURG - WP's Lady Cards fell to Asotin last week, butfought hard in both games. February's play showed no resemblance to the lackluster games that racked up three big losses for the Lady Cards the last week of January. In spite of weekend losses, the Cards ended their season well. Fi­nal score in the Asotin home court match on Saturday was 40-28, Asotin.

Paige Wood was high scorer, making 14 of the team's 28 points, eight of them free throws. Chelsey Brannock was next in line with seven points, followed by Samantha Fedderson with four, Kassidy Kuykendall with two and Heidi Miller with one.

Saturday night was senior night for the Cardinals and Chelsey Brannock, Heidi Miller and Enedina Fuentes were honored by teammates and family. The players were presented with flowers and a matted and framed pictures, signed by the team.
