Clair “ Woody” Woodward, 93, of Waitsburg, passed away on February 7 in Walla Walla.
His base of operations here was the roundtable at the Waitsburg Hardware, where he made many friends with his outgoing personality.
Woody served as a State Patrolman in Wyoming for 25 years, retiring in the Cheyenne area in 1985 as Sergeant.
He loved hunting, fishing and camping, and could swap stories with the best. His special hardware friend was John Stellwagen.
Woody is survived by wife Mary Arland at the home, one Sister, El Jean in Iowa; three sons Kenneth Woodward of Phoenix, AZ, Terry Woodward of Fountain Hills, AZ and and Donald Woodward of Evanston, WY; three stepsons: Steve Arland of Virginia, Marvin Arland of Waitsburg and Craig Arland of Walla Walla: many grand children and great-great grand children; and two special nephews Dennis and Randy Woodward.
