Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WALLA WALLA- Walla Walla County is seeking applicants for up to six openings on the Veterans' Relief Advosory Board (VRAB). The VRAB is responsible to advise the Board of County Commissioners on the needs of local indigent veterans and their families.
Applicants must be residents of Walla Walla County and must be veterans from either local branches of nationally recognized veterans' service organizations or the veterans' community at large. Only veterans are eligible to serve as board members and members should be available to attend one morning meeting per month.
Interested veterans may obtain application packets from the county website at www.co.walla-walla.wa.us or the Walla Walla County Commissioners' Office at 314 W. Main Street in Walla Walla, or by calling the Commissioners' Office at (509) 524-2505. They may also be obtained from the Department of Human Services at 1520 Kelly Place, or by calling the DHS office at (509) 524-2920.
Completed applications must be returned to the county commissioners' office by Wednesday, March 19. Applications may be dropped off, mailed or emailed.
Applicants should expect to be interviewed and the Board of County Commissioners will make final decisions regarding appointments to the Advisory Board.
