Two District Losses End Dayton’s Season

SPOKANE - The Dayton Girls' Basketball team ran up against a tough pair of northern opponents last weekend at District 7/9 playoffs, and ended their season with two losses.

St. Georges 52, Dayton 33

Friday night, against St. Georges, the Lady Bulldogs fell behind early, trailing 11-5 at the end of one. Dayton trailed by seven at the half, but the Dragons blew the game open in the third quarter, with a 22-12 run.

The loss put the Lady 'Dogs into the losers' bracket on Saturday.

Against LRS, the Dayton girls continued to struggle, with a season-ending loss of 51-34. They hung in the game for three quarters, trailing 23-17 at the half and 33- 28 after three.
