Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WALLA WALLA - Pomegranate Center Executive Director Milenko Matanovic and his team will be facilitating the design and creation of a gathering spot on "D" Street in Prescott, over the next few months. The site is just south of the Prescott library.
Milenko believes the best way to teach community building skills and principles of leadership is through community projects in a program he calls Pomegranate Fellows Intensive Training. There are still a few openings for the Spring 2014 class to be held in Walla Walla County. Read more about the program at www.pomegranatecenter.org/build-leaders.
The Fellows training is a mix of lecture, practice, discussion, case studies and hands-on application. Facilitation techniques are introduced right away so that there are practice opportunities at every class. Walla Walla meeting dates are: March 14-15, April 18-19, May 16, 17, June 20-21, and a Community Build on June 17-22. Generous scholarships are available.
