WP 14, Garfield- Palouse 2

PALOUSE - The WP baseball team got a big road win, roughing up Garfield- Palouse 14-2 on March 27 in the first game of a scheduled double-header.

Pitcher Talen Larsen got his first win of the year, hold­ing the Vikings to six hits. Larsen also got three hits, as did Devin Acevedo. The Tigers got 13 hits in all.

The second game of the double-header was called because of darkness after 3 ½ innings. WP was up 6-4 at that point. The game will be resumed at a later date.

Mac-Hi 13, WP 3

MILTON-FREEWATER - Waitsburg-Prescott stayed even with Mac-Hi 1-1 after three innings, but then the flood gates opened. The Pioneers scored two in the fourth and five each in the fifth and sixth inning, to cruise to a 13-2 win.

Chance Leroue pitched the first three innings before Devin Acevedo came on in relief in the fourth. The Ti­gers finished with four hits.
