Don Thomas was in the office Tuesday to tell us a little bit about his activity during the week he accompanied the Walla Walla 59ers to Olympia with a copy of the Washington State Constitution. He said the trip took ten days, and the mules and coach were transported over some of the more difficult areas, such as crossing the mountain pass. He said the group approached on small town and were informed by the officer there that they could not drive their team through town. That was easily fixed, Thomas said, they unhitched, loaded mules and wagons onto trailers, and bypassed the obstinate village.
