Proud to Support Sheriff Turner

Dear Editor,

It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of en­dorsement on the occasion of Sheriff Turner's intent to seek re-election for the Office of Sheriff in Walla Walla County. I am honored to have this opportunity to memorialize John's count­less admirable qualities, integrity, and skills that will contribute to a continuing successful career as Sheriff. My personal and profes­sional experiences with John persuade me that he will continue his extremely professional leadership of the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office for a second term as Sheriff.

As a co-professional and partner serving alongside Sheriff Turner as the Under­sheriff for over three years, I have personally witnessed John's boundless abilities that contributed to many successes in our demanding and challenging mission. Sheriff Turner consistently demonstrated a sincere com­mitment to team success and the community. As a 30 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I have found John's rigorous standards of excellence an example admired by my­self and fellow profession­als throughout Washington State. I have been fortunate to have work with some of the most charismatic and respected Sheriffs in the country, including Charles Plummer of Alameda Coun­ty, and John's passionate characteristics and skillful professionalism bode him well as Sheriff of your com­munity.

I have worked within the federal law enforcement community for over 35 years and I have enjoyed countless successes and accomplish­ments. My career as a FBI Special Agent and Subject Matter Expert in the pri­vate industry and academic community has afforded me many opportunities to work with and associate with many professionals and law enforcement leaders. I consider my time as Sheriff Turner's executive officer as one of the most rewarding episodes in my career and will be forever appreciative of the knowledge and exper­tise John demonstrated each day while administrating the duties of Sheriff.

Sheriff Turner has been indispensable in creating needed changes and has been a sound leader as he navigated the Sheriff's Of­fice team through numerous challenges. It has been a lifetime honor to associate with such a compassionate and caring professional.

Without question or hesi­tation, I support Sheriff John Turner's drive for a sec­ond term and endorse him wholeheartedly. I encour­age every voter to join me as I stand with him during this year's election cycle. I take special privilege in en­dorsing John Turner for re- election as Sheriff of Walla Walla County.
