Voices of the Oregon Trail

DAYTON - Humanities Washington is partnering with the Columbia County Rural Library District to bring musician and storyteller, Hank Cramer to Dayton. The free event titled,"One Trail, Many Voices," will take place Saturday, June 21 at 3 p.m. in the Delaney Room at the Dayton Memorial Library (111 S. Third Street, Dayton).

Cramer will share traditional folksongs of the various cultures who emigrated west for a variety of reasons - Irish, easterners, blacks, Germans and Italians - and explore how migration along the Oregon Trail affected the travelers, their songs and the culture of the Pacific Northwest.
