WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Resource Center will be hosting a Knock Out Boredom! (KOB) program with free summer fun activites, through the month of July. Activities will take place in the Waitsburg church basement and side yard on 6th and Main Street and are open to school age children in grades K - 12.
The programs will run from 10 - 11:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. Those who choose, may go straight from the program to the elementary school sponsored free lunch at the school cafeteria that runs from 11:30 a.m. to noon each day.
The program schedule is as follows:
July 8-10 -- Animal Antics: Blue Mountain Wildife of Pendleton (birds of prey), Salmon Recovery (things fishy) and a Healthy Pets workshop.
July 15-17 -- Creativity in Art: painting pottery, watercolor/ oil pastel frogs and block printing.
July 22-24 - Rocket Science: Building and launching hobby rockets with Tim Quigg. Lift off, weather permitting, will take place Thursday at the softball field.
July 29-31 - Musical Madness: Percussion instruments with Mike Ferrians.
