Trial Dates to be Set for Helgerson, Bridwell

DAYTON - A hearing is scheduled for July 10 in Columbia County Superior Court to set the trial date for Levi Helgerson on charges of first degree assault of a child.

Helgerson, 23, was arrested February 17 after the 11-month-old son of a woman he was living with suffered severe injuries while in his care. He was released on bail in April.

Another hearing is scheduled for August 9, also in Columbia County Superior Court, to set a trial date for Robert Bridwell, who is accused of taking sexually explicit photos of a minor.

Bridwell, 64, was arrested at his Dayton home on September 16 of last year, after the owner of a garage he was renting contacted deputies about suspicious activity there. He was charged with possession of depictions of a minor in sexually explicit conduct, which is a felony.
