PRESCOTT - The steering committee for Prescott's Vacant Lot project meat on Sunday June 20 for a debriefing, to pick a name for the lot and to decide on what needs to happen next. The lot was named The Prescott Plaza by a unanimous committee vote, according to committee member Patsy Adams.
The committee will meet with Matanovic at noon at the Tuxedo Restaurant on July 8 to discuss the project, see what lessons were learned and to address unfinished work.
Work left to be completed includes: caps on banner poles, make adjustments to two of the pea sorter baskets to improve safety, clip threads on the tables, discuss possible addition of lights, add to the gateways and discuss possible additional elements on one of the large walls.
