Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DAYTON - The Tahola Chitwhins traveled here from the Olympic Peninsula to take on Dayton Friday, in eightman football game. They were not disappointed. Tahola rolled up 50 points in the first half on the way to a lopsided 66-20 victory.
The 0-8 Bulldogs suited up 11 players for the game, but had two go down with injuries. They ended the game with only one substitute.
Dayton scored in the first quarter on a four-yard run by quarterback Cal Martin. That made the score 8-66, but Tahola went on to score six more touchdowns before the half. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs scored on a 27-yard pass play. They added a 76- yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.
On Friday, the Bulldogs travel to Touchet to take on the Indians, who made it to last year's eight-man state championship game.
