Dozens of local and visiting veterans accompanied by friends, family, and others from the community enjoyed a hearty breakfast Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, at Dayton's American Legion Post #42 on Clay Street in honor of Veterans Day. This year marks the 100th anniversay of the start of World War I, which ended 96 years ago on Nov. 11. Veterans Day, known as Armistice Day until 1954, was first observed on Nov. 11, 1921
