Taking Office: Jackson Sworn in as Columbia County Commissioner

Dayton resident Merle Jackson was sworn in as Columbia County Commissioner by Superior Court Judge Scott Gallina on Monday. Jackson will fill the District 3 seat vacated by outgoing Commissioner Charles Reeves, who chose not to run this year after 20 years on the board. Jackson will begin his new role as commissioner on January 1.
