Hofer Pleads Innocent

WAITSBURG – Gabriel Hofer, of Waitsburg, pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault in a Walla Walla County Superior Court arraignment hearing on Dec. 22. Hofer is accused of hitting Richard W. Perez, whom he discovered unconscious, next to his sister who was dead from a drug overdose.

Hofer is not in custody. Trial has been set for March 17 in Judge Lohrmann’s court, and no other hearings have been scheduled, according to prosecuting attorney Jim Nagle.
