Irish three-pointer at the buzzer in regulation takes wind out of Cardinal sails

WAITSBURG – DeSales' Tyler Jacobson broke the hearts of Cardinal fans Saturday night with a last-second three-point shot in regulation to tie the game with WP, 44-44. The Irish went on to dominate the overtime period and beat the Cardinals, 57-51.
The score was close throughout the game, with the Cardinals taking a two-point lead into the half.
For the game, Kaimen Suffia led the Cardinals with 15 points, followed by Chance Leroue, with 13. Jacob Dunn had nine.
WP was to play Milton-Freewater Tuesday night at home, before traveling to Dayton Friday and College Place Saturday, to play Walla Walla Valley Academy.
